  : The hotel is set in landscaped grounds and offers ample parking. The room was large and well appointed and had a large flat screen tv. The bathroom had a shower and a bath.
  : The towels were old and not at all soft. They need to buy some new ones. The TV although large needed a new airel cable as the one insitu had pulled out of the wall and was broken. The cold tap on the bathroom sink was loose and had to be held in two hands to prevent it spinning. Some trim on the shower mounting was missing.

  : The reception was very welcoming, helpful and polite. Everything was clean and breakfast was good. Beautiful old building with some very wonderful trees on the grounds.

  : Beautiful location (only a short drive away from a town centre). The hotel had lovely gardens and grounds. The place itself had a lovely vintage feel to it. Suite room was very large and comfortable. Staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful.

  : Booked a specific room and got a inferior room. Why ask to select room on booking to then be given one you didn't select. Bed was lumpy and didn't fit the headboard and could not reach bedside tables once in bed. Bathroom door knob was coming loose. Pillows were so bad and uncomfortable, better pillows in travelodge. Very dark lighting in room . No sofa or dining area as stated when booking. Carpet in room and curtains have seen better days. Not what we would expect from Mercure hotels. Very disappointed. This was a special weekend away for our wedding anniversary and husbands birthday and it was ruined as we never got the room we chose online. Left a day earlier , would not recommend this hotel.Was offered a different room for the second night but by then after experiencing one night decided to leave. Definitely mis represented online for the room we booked. This was the worse mercure Hotel we've ever stayed in.
