  : I recently stayed at this hotel and I’m somewhat puzzled by its high ratings. To me, it felt reminiscent of a 90's retirement home with a multi-storey car park attached. While nothing was outright terrible, nothing particularly stood out as great either.The reception area was dark and dated, giving a rather unwelcoming first impression. The bedroom was quite non-descript and lacked any memorable features. The food offered was rather uninspiring and, frankly, very beige in both presentation and taste.On a positive note, the wellness centre, pool, and gym were the most modern aspects of the hotel. They were fine—certainly not exceptional, but adequate.Overall, the entire hotel feels like it’s in need of a major revamp. Unfortunately, it just didn’t feel like anything special and, as a result, didn’t offer good value for money.

  : Room was excellent - very spacious with a small balcony (which didn't get use much due the weather!) - Very nice quality fixtures and fittings, lovely comfy bed.Spa was excellent and very well used!Breakfast was great
  : Although there were two bottles of water in the room when we arrived, these were not replenished during the week. No snacks or treats were provided which would have been a nice touch.

  : The staff were friendly and helpful but needed backup from managers.I thought the room size was good but rather cold and no heating in bathroom Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
  : No fridge in either room, no safe in my daughter's room. The pool area was nice but the hydrotherapy area poor, definitely in need of a good pump. Nobody showered,it wasn't signed. The hot room was cold.Waiting to be seated every time in the dining room was often lengthy and the wait for the 1 coffee/ tea machine and toaster a pain, especially when the waste output on the coffeemaker was full. Having to ask 4 people to get bread for toast was ridiculous. No heating in the bathroom for towels or people.,also when the weather was poor our rooms cold.The television was old and there was no options for movies. Conversations from the people next door were overheard. Spa area closed very early especially at weekends. I have been in better equipped hotels at much less than £220/ night
