: Lovely zoo to explore in the day and cosy yurt to chill in at night. Very close to the lemur area and got to see them right next to us, such a treat!
: Gets quite cold at night and we ran out of wood for our tents fire quite fast

: If you admire Gerald Durrells legacy of conservation work, saving rare species and love animals then this is a super special. Its on the doorstep of Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust HQ at Jersey Zoo; there is also a Zoo bus stop for town. Access to the Zoo is during public open times only, so 09.30am to 17:00 in Winter, 7 days a week. If here for a few days, take time to sit and watch the many animals each day rather than rush through the vast site. The Butterfly House with its large tortoises along with the sloths in the Cloud House were great. I liked the height and spaciousness of the tent, super comfy bed and private, separate bathroom and kitchen tent. The log burner was great for keeping warm in Autumn. On site staff were kind and friendly.
: No negatives just a tip, I recommend you pick up your supplies on your way in as (similar to many self-catering sites) there are no supplies of toiletries nor milk, cooking oil, soap, loo roll etc. and no on site shop nor corner shop nearby. You can pre-order a farm hamper but I did not opt for this as planned to eat out with friends most days. The Zoo cafe serves delicious coffee and breakfasts. There is an M&S and artisan fresh bakery (Dough Rye Me) in nearby St John (cycling distance or car) and if you can get to Scoop Farm Shop in St Lawrence there is a great range of local vegetables, dairy and sweet treats.

: The glamping pods themselves are really spacious and the facilities are so clean and well maintained. The staff could not have been more helpful, and having free access to the zoo was a great bonus.
: It might be a bit different in the summer with the weather being warmer and less need for them but whilst the log fire in the glamping pod itself was a lovely feature, it did make the pod smell of smoke and it clung to all our belongings which wasn't too much trouble but was a bit overwhelming at the time
