Traveller Type: family with young children
  : Beautiful period building, big, clean and comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful view from one side of the building. Health centre is big and well appointed in the gym areas, changing facilities etc. Pool is nice but not huge and can be very crowded.
  : The property has not much grounds to walk in (unless you count an unattended field next to the parking lot and some unappealing paths along berry bushes). There are no gardens or anything else for one to have a proper walk on a countryside estate. You are bound to the building and the health centre with nothing much else to do, unless you go elsewhere. Breakfast (and I suspect high tea) are lovely but rest of the menu for lunch/dinner is very average and service in the restaurant areas can be very slow at times. I would not go there again except maybe for tea/coffee on the terrace, which was a lovely thing to do.

  : The old building, the view from the breakfast restaurant, beautiful furniture. Beautiful surroundings. Bathroom was nice. Good cleaning.
  : The room had a strange smell. The food was ok but not as you would expect in this kind of hotel. The spa is more like a gym pool.

  : The hotel has a lovely relaxed ambiance and is historical. Very comfortable room with a fabulous view. The staff were very professional but also very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely like to return again.

  : Everything was good with the exception of the check-in process
  : During the check-in our credit card did not work and the Reception was refusing to accept cash as a payment. We had to spend an hour at late night to have them to accept cash

  : The building is impressive. Beautifully preserved and tastefully decorated.
  : The health spa was a bit shabby looking. Some repairs were needed and maybe a refurb to make it feel more luxurious

  : Good quality but luke warm scrambled egg. All food should be hot and for the standard/cost this is basic and should not need to be mentioned.
  : For the cost your facilities are average. Afternoon tea (cakes) were excellent but the sandwich filling was non existent and they were not fresh. I did mention all this when I left and got a reduction on my bill. Unfortunately Nuffield does not have the wow factor I was hoping for.
