  : The reception staff were friendly and accommodating, clean towels supplied. Fridge in room. room size accommodated 3 people - family room
  : The room was not clean, walls carpet and bed bases stained, mould around window, no curtains. Room hot but fans provided. Stairwell entrance carpet filthy. Not a place you wish to spend time. We never had breakfast because of the noted dirty environment

  : Cosy, convenient spot to stay. We were in London for Star Wars Celebration, and getting to and from the Excel was easy (quick 20 minute journey on the Elizabeth Line & DLR, all overground too if you aren't a fan of the underground). Breakfast was a simple help yourself buffet arrangement and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large, acceptably clean and exactly what we needed. The beds were also very comfortable, and extra blankets were left in the room which was very much appreciated. Overall a lovely little place!
  : Some hooks on doors and similar things were broken or missing, particularly in the bathroom. This did not cause any issues for our stay but weren't particularly nice to look at. The TV remote was also missing its power button, which meant it had to be turned off/on at the wall socket. Just small things.
