Disappointing
Traveller Type: Traveling as Couple
  : It was in a good location, nice view on 1 side, quiet, and for the most part, clean (dingy carpet).
  : Carpet was dingy, toilet wouldnt flush properly, no real coffee or fresh food for breakfast (instant or packaged foods), difficulty interacting with host (never saw any staff), not sure when/if payment taken.

  : The property was fine the only complaint I have was it was inclusive of breakfast however it was a continental breakfast. Left with the feeling booking .com had tricked me .
  : No problems just would have preferred if it was advertised as not having a cooked breakfast

  : Room had everything we needed. Place felt a little strange, communicating at check-in with the owner by phone, while he observed via cctv. Breakfast was adequate. Oban is really nice, despite the rain during our stay!
  : We stayed one night instead of the two we had booked, but only because of really poor weather in Oban.

  : Room#12 was pretty good
  : We were booked into Room #8 ... the bed was terrible .... springs coming through the mattress ... DON'T stay in room #8 ... we pointed teh terrible mattress out and they seemed to know about the problem (why not change the mattress? I asked ... the lady ignored the question) and looked to see if there wasa spare room available ... she shifted us into room #12 which was fine, if none had been available it likely would have been "tough luck mate" ... i.e. it felt rather like they put is in teh worst room hoping we would be "English" and not complain :-( ..... Also the photos of the rooms on the website are inadequate ... I asked to see a photo of the room I would be staying in and also the potential upgrade room I was offered and I was told that would not be possible ?!? ... George Hotel needs to up its game ... lovely chap served breakfast on Sunday morning - but he was run off his feet i.e. not enough staff and so breakfast took too long to come IMHO .. in summary be very picking about the room, get early to breakfast and you will have a good stay ... take what you're given and you will be miserable
