  : The room and bathroom were fine , really comfortable bed , VERY hot water , and good heating . Comes with a coffee machine !!!, The bar was good and the locals very friendly, loads of dogs which we liked.
  : The only thing which was not so good was the catering for the evening meal , we had to send some things back (no problem when we had to) The MENU was not value for money and VERY small selection. I think that 9 for a cheeseboard which consisted of two small bits of stale cheese and a so called homemade cracker which was like a large piece of cardboard!!

  : The king size bed filled the whole bedroom, leaving little room to manoeuvre, and there was only one chair. No evening meal on Mondays or Tuesdays, and we were alone in the house from 9.15 pm, with no one to ask how to work the shower or bath plug. Our fault, but no ablutions the first night

  : Staff very friendly and accommodating with short notice dinner reservation requests. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious. Room was extremely comfortable and a good size
  : In the evenings the car park was a challenge with no spaces left, people blocking each other in and layby opposite was full!

Disappointing

  : The staff were really friendly and the accommodation was good.
  : Parking can be an issue, so be warned. The biggest disappointment was the food. The first night, the main was massively over salted, and i had to pick my way through it. The accompanying rosemary fries hadn't heard of rosemary, let alone been seasoned with it. They were also over salted. The dessert was actually inedible (couldn't get a spoon into it) and was taken away. The next night, the evening meal was meh.The 1st morning, we opted for a simple bacon sandwich. My "crispy" bacon wasn't crispy at all. The sandwich was made with dry packet bread, no butter. The 2nd morning, we had full English. It was ok, just OK. We had to ask both mornings for juice as it had run out. Not a problem, but a small niggle that could have been avoided. Overall the food was overpriced for what it was, very nicely presented evening meals, but didn't taste good. Attention to detail was present on so many things, but lacking in kitchen. We felt that overall, the weekend stay was overpriced
