  : Absolutely horrendous, the worst experience in London ever, even though I travel both for leisure and business every month. I actually stayed with my husband at this hotel a decade ago and it was lovely, meanwhile the current owners are rude, obnoxious and broke a few laws while communicating with us. Stay away!
  : The whole story.We successfully checked into our room to much of our dismay to find out that construction works and renovations are happening inside and outside of the hotel and directly outside of our bedroom window and as you can see from the photos the view is ‘spectacular’ if you like building sites and construction yards.I tried to raise this up with the receptionist called Viktor, that is the vast amount of noise due to the renovations, the banging, drilling, shouting which made our 1hr 30 minute stay very unpleasant.We were NOT made aware of this on any website or indeed through booking.com and had we known, we wouldn’t have booked the hotel; and due to our reason for stay which was to visit medical centres we were not going to risk it.A call to booking.com which lasted about 2 hours which resulted in the receptionist saying the renovations weren’t anything to do with the hotel and were to do with another adjacent to the hotel building, we just checked in.The receptionist also refused to refund our money in full, only refunding us for one night providing we leave right away, so we ended up paying for 1 night even though we didn’t stay there and only waited for 2 hours.While on the phone to booking.com, a representative there was talking to us during our checkout process where we had to wait 20 more minutes, because the receptionist had left the hotel leaving the whole place unattended. He finally arrived and we then started our checkout procedure.Booking.com emailed the hotel and the receptionist replied back with the unbelievable response that is he was willing to provide a partial refund providing we do not leave a bad review; so now he is going back on his word and controlling our rights as customers.The receptionist called Viktor had zero eye contact and wouldn’t look at me while I was talking to him, he didn’t seem to care and was more bothered about being on his phone or computer than actually providing customer care.

  : It’s location and that it came with a microwave and fridge in the room
  : This hotel is undergoing massive refurbishment and it is being dug down into the foundations . It was like a total building site outside our room and we had to deal with massive drilling and pounding sounds as they dig into the foundations all afternoon and from 7.30am in the morning . There was nothing to say when we booked that it was under construction works and we would not have booked it if we knew. Although they are extending the hotel there was things in the existing rooms that needed fixing first such as peeling paintwork and badly installed plug sockets . It also is the only hotel I have stayed in for a long time that expects a holding deposit to be paid when checking in - it says £100 on the website but we had £50 pre authorised . It can take up to 10Days to come back to you. — although in fairness ours came back within 24 hours ! Not everyone has the money for holding deposits during the cost of living crisis. Maybe they should have better insurance that covers them for incidental damages - rather than expect the customer to find an amount that is almost as much as the cost of the stay as a holding deposit

  : Room was not in good condition. Needs a bit of renovation but it was clean and had fresh bedding.

  : The location near the tube was good for me, the coffee maker was a nice touch, the bed was very comfortable. The TV was good.
  : The building work going on when I was there was disturbing, I had a kettle which would not fit under the tap for filling and the shower was very small.

  : Very small room. No cups or pods for coffee. Fridge not working. No universal plugs, so we couldn’t charge our phones. Shower tap broken.
