  : Had to share a bathroom with others staying at this property, wasnt suitable for a baby either being on the 2nd floor up, people staying above us were very noisey keeping my baby awake to all hours with all the banging they were doing!!!

  : - the bathroom was nice and new. but the rest was horror. according to the staff, the hotel is 102 years old without investment- location is good but better to choose other hotel
  : - the bed was very very uncomfortable, it was impossible to sleep. very old spring mattress. you will feel the pressure from the springs. you can't sleep, it's impossible- there was dust everywhere, gray curtains full of dust. furniture with a layer of dust. the hotel was not cleaned for weeks.- there was no hot water on the upper floor.- we came back from city and the room was unlocked with the door open. the door is not possible to lock. very unpleasant- I tried to contact the hotel a few weeks before the stay and the hotel did not communicate

  : It was ok, but mattresses need replacing in the twin room (7) they are too noisy and far too soft. Carpet warn by sink to the point where you could see the floorboards I slept in pyjamas between both duvets as mattress was awful underneath without the padding Bathrooms were fine - lots of options to use the shower room just slightly above room 6,7&8 Nice shower, sink and toilet. Water was Lukewarm from shower at 7am Staff were fine. You get enough money to replace these mattresses. I also slept on the one near the door as structurally the whole room is on the wonk Right side bed on a slight upward angle and I think it was noticeable - wouldnt have slept in that bed.

  : STAFF: Despite a language barrier, the hotelier present was very friendly and made sure we were settled in. Even helped me with my boots as the zip caught on the way out. Genuinely one of the friendliest people I've ever met.ROOMS: Me and my friend got a twin room and really couldn't fault the size of it, and the beds were standard metal singles. Simple and honest.LOCATION: It's literally a 5m walk from Russel Square and plenty of food places about so for it to just be a roof over your head, it's perfect. However, it's in the heart of London so expect lively cockneys at 2am. This isn't the hotel's fault. That's just the area where even if the hotel invested in triple glaze soundproofing, they're still loud.
  : TOILET/ROOMS: I know I said the rooms are simple and honest, however, there is a drawback, and that's no en-suit. You do have a sink to wash and get water from, but it did feel out of place. Now, it does mention its shared toilets/showers so it was my fault for not reading before booking, but when other people on the floor are using it, it can be annoying. This is something I will defend the hotel on for it though, and that's some comments making it out that it's literally ONE bathroom to the whole hotel. This is NOT true. It's one bathroom for a floor.STAIRS: This is a nitpick as I could have queried beforehand as the hotelier even said something could be arranged. The stairs are a mountain if you're on one of the higher floors. Unfortunately for me and my friend with leg and balance problems, by chance, we ended up with the top floor, but we managed.CREAKING: This is what I believe makes the shared bathroom bad for the hotel. If you're a night goer, it sounds like you're rail dumping a minigun on each step. The stairs and flooring need some serious renovation just to limit the creaking, let alone eliminate it.So overall, it really isn't a bad hotel, just need to make it clear to make special request because there's no lifts, do some renovation to stop the creaking, look into making at least some rooms en-suits, and honestly I'm fine at just that.

  : The carpets were not clean in the hotel and bedroom . The room needs painting, and the bed made too much noise and is too small. Also the door didnt close properly, and the tap in the bedroom took time to adjust . I kept on being woken up by the people upstairs
