  : Loved the home-baked bara brith on arrival - still warm! Lovely touch from Ian the host. I enjoyed a slice with butter every day of my stay it's great hiking food. Well-stocked kitchen with all the items I needed to make my own food, given that there are no shops or pubs in Glasinfryn. Loved the proximity to the Lon Las Ogwen trail (5 mins) and the Blas Lon Las farm cafe and shop (20 min walk) and Bangor pier (90 min walk). I hiked a lot in the Ogwen Valley and found it easy to get buses there once I'd walked to the next village (30 mins).
  : Obviously, given that I didn't have a car, it would have been better if Glasinfryn had a more frequent bus service (and/or a shop/cafe/pub) but I found it easy to walk to Tregarth and get buses to Bethesda (and the Ogwen Valley) from there. It's the perfect location for someone who likes quiet and likes walking everywhere (and was blessed with very good weather).

  : A good, quiet base for touring Snowdonia & Anglesey providing you have transport - parking space right on doorstep. Clean, comfortable, well equipped with basic equipment needed for self catering (but bring your own washing up liquid, condiments etc if you need them). Good variety of leaflets for local attractions and list of restaurants. Congenial, helpful host - his Bara Brith cake was a delicious welcome to Wales. We went to see him sing with the Penhryn Male Voice Choir - wonderful!
  : There were no facilities in the village itself so it may have been a bit isolated for some, but there are plenty of supermarkets, take-aways etc within a short drive.

  : Host was lovely and suggested a couple of really lovely walks. He left us a beautiful hand baked cake and also gave us some freshly laid eggs....really kind. The views were great. Bed and settee very comfortable and good range of channels on tv. Parking right in front of property and i would imagine excellent facilies if you're in a wheelchair.
  : I just found it a little cold but im sure the host would happily sort this out if you had the same problem. You must have a car....if not the taxi is 15 pounds from Bangor....I told the host he could charge alot more....but hope he doesnt as we'd like to go backxx
