: The location is perfect .
: I had booked a room with a bath. The details of room facilities stated bath. Not shower . When I checked in I had been given a room with a shower . The lady initially said I could have a partial refund due to the mix up but then changed mind as her boss had said no. Which I felt was a very unfair way to do business . Especially as I informed her that using the shower for me was a bad idea due to mobility issues and risk of slipping . I told her I would shower sat on the floor to keep safe ! Which I duly did so stuck to my part . The main building has sadly been left in a bit of a state . Due to a focus more on camping and lodges . Not a comfortable place to sit outside at all which was a shame . Chairs provided outside the entrance to the guesthouse building but hard , lovely chairs but hard and sadly one cannot sit and read and enjoy a glass of wine as the light for outside is covered by plants .

: The bed was tidy, the tea making facilities, as a joiner I can appreciate the 15C wood features.
: Firstly, before leaving this negative review I contacted the hotel and explained my concerns . However their dismissive attitude has left me with no choice. The room was boiling hot on arrival. Even switching off the bathroom heater and waiting for the central heating to go off did very little. Had to sleep with the windows open and no quilt in October! Both windows had cracks in them making me wonder if the panes would fall out of the window once open, and who they would blame this is on. This is on the first floor! The bathroom was a deep dirty. It had been cleaned but the grout and bath was deeply mouldy. The bathroom sealant looked like the person doing it had their eyes closed the whole time, but that was just an asthetic issue. But shows no care was shownThere was a large iron mark on the carpet, the shelves were covered in dust and the toilet flush could hardly handle the business it needs too!I emailed the place directly and said I didn't want to leave a bad review, but requested a refund. I was given the old "cancellation policy blah blah blah, no refunds given. Currently contacting booking.com to get a refund.
