  : From the car park to the lift absolutely stank. The music in reception was so loud you had to shout to check in. The car park stairs someone had weed on! Again stank! Won’t be staying again. Overrated!

  : Having enjoyed stays in lesser starred and certainly cheaper hotels in comparison to your hotel you were Sadly found lacking in several departments a few I will list below. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was the heavily stained carpets throughout the hotel,this was also the case in our room we could also not fail to notice it was heavily laden in dust on most surfaces particularly the light fittings, both the bath and shower only offered cool water making it impossible to enjoy the spa bath which was a contributing factor when making our decision to stay at The Shankly. The bar area was also in a similar state in particular the leather seating which displayed cracked dirty leather throughout.These are just a few areas of concern we experienced.Overall after paying such a premium rate to stay at your establishment the whole experience did not live upto expectations and we certainly would not recommend The Shankly to anyone.

  : Location was perfect, staff were lovely and welcoming. The rooms were clean and tidy. Extremely comfortable beds, slept really well. Will definitely be returning in the future. The price for the rooms were pretty good considering where it is positioned, so close to restaurants, bars and the train station. Our whole group complimented the hotel and all enjoyed their stay. Thank-you so much!
  : The only thing we would say is that the smaller room was clean and tidy, but was found to be a quite dull and needed a little refurbishment compared to the larger room.

  : Loved the decor & the whole atmosphere of the hotel was just great! Room was a dream! There are also a couple few perfect spots for group photos & girls were just buzzing to get the snaps in!
  : There wasn’t enough plug sockets & for a group of 8 girls, not enough mirrors/light in the room.

  : It was modern, quirky and inviting in the entrance/lobby.
  : Worn and tatty in the rooms. Wallpaper hanging of the walls, damp on the ceilings. No phone in the room incase we needed to call reception for anything. The Bathroom floor was a little grimy and sticky. Door handle in the ladies toilets in the entrance fell off and also the toilet roll holder fell off the wall in our room.

  : The room did somewhat resemble from the images on website but they it was very tired and needs to be updated. ROOM No storage or any type of drawers 1 wardrobe with 6 hangers 1 slim dressing room table with 1 mirror and 1 chairBathroom was very bare, no warmth of any luxury what so ever. 1 bath , No shower attachment to wash hair Mirror was so high all I could see was partial top of head ( I as m 5ft 3)I had to put my make up on sat on floor using a compact mirror. How eight people can get ready is mind boggling. Not being able to have a quick spruce shower without washing hair was hard. Not being able things unpack personal belongings was not nice with everyone having to use the floor. Our room slept eight and there was only 3 of us and although the room was big it lacked in any warmth or the luxury feel that that was promised on website. Roof Terrace was disappointing as it lacked any vibe or atmosphere. Just some chairs and tables on a roof We went down for breakfast at 9.45 and although offered a table was told there were no eggs, bacon or mushrooms. Yet the full price of £17 was still applicable for cereal toast and a few prices of melon.
