  : Full self catering, I bought/brought my own food. Property and grounds are lovely and I spent an hour walking around taking some pics. Owner was very nice and helpful. Bought a small homemade birdhouse that they sell on site as a souvenir. The property was very warm and all appliances were in good working order.
  : I felt there was a huge emphasis placed on the deposit - perhaps the owner had a bad experience in the past, but I felt like I was walking on eggshells around the place for 2 days. I was never made aware of the extra exchange rate charge (something like 5% more after bank exchange rate) incurred when paying over the phone in euro - resulted in 20 euro more than if I paid cash. I'm not sure if the owner is even aware of this as its imposed by a third party. In future I will change my euro in the post office and pay pounds cash on site to avoid this.

  : Pretty area. Quaint house. Good kitchen. Cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine. Comfortable couch. Nice tv. Friendly host.
  : Bed too small, pillows flat and smelt. Mattress too hard for me. I didn't sleep. Stained towels in bathroom. Mould on sink. Spiders in every corner! Too many ornaments around. No duck pond. Disappointed overall. Was meant to stay 2 nights but only stayed 1.

  : The location is exceptional and Pauline is super friendly. The cottage is warm and is located on a lovely farm.
  : Unfortunately the bed was way too small, it was a bit bigger than a single bed, in no way it is a double bed, on top of that unfortunately the mattress is also very old and uncomfortable. The cooker in the kitchen is very old, and it takes longer to cook things on the hob and the oven. (We booked the pear tree cottage)

  : Location 10, privacy 10, comfort 10. Would stay again and recommend to friends and family. Host was delightful and there when needed. Completely stress free.
  : Tiny thing really. Kitchen needs set of large knives. Blind in bedroom skylight wont stay closed (Peartree Cottage). Last minute booking. Sick family member. For the money we paid....zero complaints.

  : The old cottage was very nicely apointed and the kitchen was fully equiped
  : I booked this cottage for a weekend trip away with my children but also on the basis that they had Wifi clearly advertised in the facilities list as I needed to complete some work on my laptop on the Saturday and also the Wifi is great for allowing the kids to use their devices and chat with their friends and play games etc. As this cottage was an old stonewall cottage, there was also no mobile signal available within the property and thus the Wifi was even more critical However, when we arrived on the Friday night, my daughter was the first to report that the Wifi was not connecting on her device and indeed when I tried my phone and then laptop, we were all getting the same message "Network access denied". I reported this immediately to the property owner and she said she would sort it the next morning. I noted it was very important as I had work I needed to do on the Saturday and needed the wifi as there was no mobile data signal to hotspot from also. Saturday evening came and went and still the issue remained and the owner said that she had called the local technician that morning and left a voicemail and pretty much that was the extent of the efforts to fix the issue over the 48 hours we were there..shocking..Im still unsure as to whether the Wifi ever works at this cottage as the efforts made were minimal to say the least. I politely requested that the owner would make a partial refund for the huge inconvenience the lack of Wifi had caused for my work purposes and even also for the kids entertainment, but she refused and just moaned about the 20% portion she has to pay to Booking.com . There was no sense of empathy or humility shown whatsoever and this was the icing on the cake in terms of the massive frustrations. Beware , there will be no mobile signal in this property as the old stonewalls are thick and the Wifi is non-existent and should not be advertised as it is totally misleading
