  : The lodge provided a perfect base to venture out from, and the view from the rear of the property is a pure relaxing pleasure. Melissa (host) is a very likeable person and it was a pleasure dealing with her. My stay was mainly to explore the area on bike and get some well needed exercise. The weather for my week was perfect and made the experience so much more enjoyable.
  : There is not really a lot that the host could improve on with the property: if I were to be picky, I would say the out dated hifi system is surplus to 2022 requirements, a system with Bluetooth would be much more purposeful nowadays. Things to be aware of but by no means a fault of the property or host; I arrived with a spotlessly clean car and it was parked on the small drive close to the road edge with tractors thundering up and down all day, they do create a vast amount of dust, so the car was pretty coated by the time I left. (This would not deter me visiting again) Also to be noted, is to be careful if you intend cycling, as those tractors already mentioned, are not very forgiving if you meet them down a single track road. Living just on the edge of the Peak District we are surrounded by farmland and tractors, and they are far more considerate than any I met in Egloskerry, again, this is not a dealbreaker but something to be aware of.
