  : Room was fine. Bed was comfortable, (I love white bedding) and plenty of towels. Room and bathroom are quite small but as described on website.Lovely staff on check-in and also in the bar later.Easy parking.
  : We thought the hotel was in Knowle but it's a good distance from the town centre. However by car that wasn't a problem.

  : Clean and modern rooms in an old pub. Key fob entry ensures security. Plenty of parking and lots of outdoor seating next to the canal. The restaurant food in the evening was a very high standard.
  : The bedroom was very small and there was some noise but not late.

  : Thriving busy inn with simple comfortable rooms in a pleasant location by the Grand Union canal. There is a good selection of items on the menu too plus an attractive restaurant and plenty of outdoor seating is also available. The staff were all very efficient and cheerful.

  : The location is picturesque and good access, plenty of parking. Nice decor, old world charm with modern touches. Unfortunately, the return visit was a huge disappointment.
  : This was a return visit, so we thought we knew what to expect. Wrong! Very unsatisfactory. Staff were robotic, lacking in charm, scripted, staccato, and one overly familiar in addressing guests. Special seating request for dinner was not fulfilled, and not even mentioned nor apology. The music throughout is too intrusive, loud, even at breakfast. Breakfast was, frankly, bad! Apple/orange juice, tea/coffee, and order cooked option from menu. Cutlery was not clean. No clean teaspoons, so had to go a find staff to ask for teaspoons (staff brought out ‘3’ wet teaspoons). 25 minutes after ordering the cooked breakfast it still had not been served. Other guests who arrived after had been served first. If I had not gone to find staff to ask where is the breakfast, we would not have eaten anything! Had to find staff first. Then the cooked breakfast arrived - utterly unsatisfactory, had obviously been sitting around, was lukewarm, tomatoes cooked to mush, congealing eggs, cremated petrified sausages and bacon, the bacon broken into bits on the plates. Despite being visibly utterly unacceptable, the staff still tried to fob us off with an excuse that the food is “char grilled”! But, did manage to go to the kitchen to seek replacements, but then only brought out one sausage and one piece of bacon and a side plate (for two people). It was evidently pointless complaining again. Dirty plates etc left on several tables throughout breakfast. Another guest (couple) were very unhappy with their breakfast, and their bill was cancelled as a result. Staff at check out listened to the complaint, but did not seem genuinely interested, felt more of a robotic rehearsed response to get rid of us; which suggests this was not a one-off problem. Seems that, sadly, our one good experience might the exception! Therefore, reluctant to recommend for obvious reasons.

  : Lovely location, the description of the bedroom was accurate. Great staff. Easy to find
  : We had an issue over noise caused by the bar staff cleaning the beer lines late at night. This was resolved very quickly by the staff.
