Best Western Ipswich Hotel & Spa

Very Poor

: The water was hot and the taps worked properly.
: First room I was offered smelt terrible, like foul cigarette smoke.A member of staff came to investigate but said they could not smell anything unusual. That was plainly ridiculous. So I was left in this room with the window open to try to clear the smell. As it proved not to work, I looked for the cause and found it: white mould on the wooden underside of one of the two beds.I complained again and this time was offered a replacement room.Initially this smelt better but once the smell of freshening sprays wore off it started to smell of something similar to the first room. And again there were signs of mould under one of the beds.It was not as overpowering so persisted with this room. But it was not a good experience, as staff were not unduly pleasant about being inconvenienced by these issues. The windows were difficult to open, as appeared a little worse for wear.

  : Dinner was nice
: The bed was uncomfortable-two single beds joined together and very bumpy in the middle

: Location was great … hopefully the refurbishment will be fabulous
: Unfortunately the bed was uncomfortable including pillows and it was very noisy from both directions… hear every door open / close plus noise from cars at the front of building… such a shame didn’t sleep well at all ! I think it’s overpriced…. Once it’s refurbished probably be a lovely stay !

: Was only there for a few hours as I was breaking my journey from the Port of Harwich back to North East England.
: The whole point of me staying here was to get some sleep so having the receptionist hoover in the corridor at 3am was NOT ideal!
