  : Good location. Nice, spacious garden. Parking spaces. Breakfast was nice.
  : First of all I did get something completely different to what iv booked through the Booking app. I have paid £225 for one night spacious, light bedroom with king size bed, river view from the window, private outside terrace, complete luxury toiletries in the bathroom. What I got- spacious, dark room, with parking view. You’ll have to keep the curtains closed all the time to get some privacy so you end up sitting there like in the cave. It was really warm and you could only open the window for about 10 cm. I did mention about I have booked completely different room, and iv been told because Iv booked through the booking.com and it’s better to ring them directly. Really?! So what’s the point putting this as available on booking site, and is there any selection for people who gets better rooms?! If I knew that I would go and book somewhere else for better price. The was no soap in the bathroom, when iv pointed out that to the reception Iv been told that all pumps are finished and Iv received a small round cheap hand soap (really?! for £225!). As I was already in bed and thinking - at least the bed is comfy - then suddenly at around 2.15 am the false fire alarm started loudly, it scarred me to death. The whole hotel was evacuated by itself because there was no one on reception to check if everyone is actually out. After about 15 min standing outside the hotel in pyjamas we’ve been told - sorry it was false alarm. After all experience I felt tired and shafted.

  : It is a large cottage with 4 bedrooms in very good size. There are 4.5. Bathrooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

  : Great location,lovely grounds to sit in though in the centre of Grasmere. Nice touches ie free afternoon tea & scones.

  : The location was beautiful, hotel was clean, breakfast was lovely.
  : Was a little disappointed on the size of the room requested a Mountain View but couldn’t see it as trees were in the way. Felt more staff was needed as only one girl working on desk, bar and sorting all guests with rooms etc. breakfast wait was around 40 minutes with one chef and same girl serving plates. Woken up in the night by fire alarm going off and no staff around to help all guests sat outside around 2am.

  : Not having to have an allocated breakfast time would give more flexibility to your morning.

  : Very clean comfortable room and really well located. Staff fantastic lead by Sarah who is a brilliant host .Will be returning
