  : The fox is a fantastic country pub with all the comforts you need for a short break, clean well appointed rooms , great views across to the White horse ancient monument, close to local amenities, nice outside space should you want to enjoy a glass of wine during the milder months , cosy fires and friendly atmosphere in the winter

  : This pub is in a wonderful location for Valley of the White Horse walking; beautiful views from around the property; large clean room with a good sized bed; nice breakfast.
  : Overall we didn't think the price represented the best value for money and we were charged 20 for our dog (when it says 15 on website); whilst it is the countryside and to be expected, like another reviewer, we were awoken between 4 and 5 by the cockerel; the dinner choices were a bit limited and we waited a long time for food to arrive.

  : The pub itself is a proper unspoilt village pub which is a rare find these days. They have 4 rooms that have been added. We stayed in Room 2 which was warm comfortable and had everything you need for a couple of nights stay. They offered freshly cooked food in the evening (only lunches Sundays) and the breakfasts were great. The staff were absolutely fantastic especially Max who made us feel like locals from the moment we stepped through the door. He even ordered a pizza to be delivered to the pub on the Sunday evening because we had been cycling all day and didnt fancy driving to another venue to eat. An absolutely brilliant couple of days!
