The Crown Hotel Bawtry-Doncaster

Very Good
Traveller Type: young couple
: Our double bed room in the annex building next door to the main hotel was spacious and airy with a smoothly working sash window which overlooked the high street. The bathroom was again spacious with a lovely walk in shower. The breakfast was excellent with a varied choice of hot and cold servings. The kitchen staff were young and enthusiastic and completed their work professionally and with a smile. The bar area was comfortable with a wide range of drinks and also served tea and coffee where you could drink inside or outside on the veranda which was positioned alongside the high street.
: To park your car at the hotel cost £6 for 24 hours which is acceptable for safe parking, however, you had to renew your parking from 8am. Surely when staying at the hotel a 2 hour grace period until 10am should be allowed to allow for a lie in.

  : It’s location
: The room was very tired and looked like an old people’s home , the shower and bathroom door was dirty and overall it was well overpriced.. the tv didn’t work it kept buffering and the cost of £17.50 for breakfast was ridiculous . On top of all that you now have to pay for onsite parking making the stay expensive.

: Large and comfortable room with everything you need for a couple of nights away.Shower controls are outside of the shower so you don't have to get blasted with freezing cold water.
: Road outside quite noisy especially when you prefer to sleep with the window open.

Wonderful
Traveller Type: family with young children
: We used the hotel for a family get together of around 12 persons. Rooms were great. Breakfast was excellent.
: Parking was a problem. The payment machines didn't work properly, and many people were struggling to park and pay. A number of us have received parking penalties. This is very annoying.

: All Staff I came into contact with were quite pleasant.
: 1/ Car Park belongs to hotel they charge £6.00 for 24 hours2/ In 40 years of staying at hotels between 50 to 100 nights per year, had a meal with friends probably the worst meal ever served, most of it burnt, I mean burnt, fish, burghers, chips. The waitress was visibly embarrassed and would not charge.3/ Rooms were clean but very dated.
