  : As access time was after dark we asked for earlier access or for a light to be left on. Neither were available. The key box is just above the ground and there are no lights, so obtaining the key was very difficult. We stayed at the house in November and ther was no heating on on arrival. The ground floor has underfloor heating, which does not heat quickly and the radiators upstairs did not heat at all. We had to keep our coats and scarves on all evening. There was fresh milk in the fridge so someone had been that day and could have switched on the heating. There was an awful gassey smell in the settee. We looked everywhere for the cause and thought perhaps it was from the adjoining factory. Eventually we traced the smell to a dead and rotting mouse in the settee. These three matters meant we will never rent the house again, which is a shame as it is close to our son and daughter in law and our new grandson.

  : The property was exceptionally clean, very comfortable and well equipped. It was good to be able to make use of the small patio even though it was October. The village is within easy reach of Lechlade, Bibury and Cirencester, while the property is in a quiet location not far from the centre of the village.
  : There were no significant downsides.
