: A pleasant pub in a lively village within easy reach of stunning Cornish countryside. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was fairly basic but clean and the bathroom was large and comfortable. Pub is very lively in the evenings and the food both in the evening and at breakfast was good.
: Room was rather hot at night, but a large fan was provided.

: This place is a little gem. I ate in the restaurant in the evening and there was a great choice on the menu and the food I had was very good. The atmosphere in the bar area was really pleasant and there was a quiz on that night. My room was spacious with a good size bathroom and a mega comfy bed. In a little alcove on my floor was table with decanters of complimentary Whisky or Port to take as a nightcap. What a lovely idea! I had initially asked for my breakfast at 8.30 but had to change my plan and needed an earlier breakfast. In the morning this was absolutely no trouble and I have got say it was as good a breakfast as I can remember ever having, all freshly cooked with top ingredients. All in all ,a surprisingly lovely stay. If you get a chance, stay there. Think they have live music some nights.
: In the winter I suggest you get there while it is still light. The narrow country lanes were a bit hairy in the dark.
