Wonderful

: Super friendly and helpful staff. Room was great and in a great location. Car parking was close and black boy pub is great for food and drink.
: The room we had did not have a view but we didn't need one so it was no problem

: Close to the centre of town.
: The noise from the pub across the road

: Loved the history, inside the walled town of the castle. Amazing!
: Little awkward with my husband in a wheelchair but manageable.

: The location was excellent in terms of accessibility to attractions/car park etc. The room had the bonus of a mini kitchen, even though we didn’t want to prepare our own meals. Staff were friendly enough.
: The main thing we didn’t like was the noise of the pub directly opposite. Music and shouting continued until 1am. People were talking right outside the window only a 3 or 4 feet away from me in bed. We were informed that this noise was because of the central location of the hotel and our stay being during the bank holiday. However earplugs left for our use and secondary glazing suggests this is more frequent than a bank holiday issue. If we’d had been informed of this noise issue the onus would have been on us to whether we chose to book or not. It spoilt my birthday treat.Clearer instructions and iinformation on Booking.com that you needed to check in at The Black Boy and that breakfast is served there too would have been useful.

: Staff helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. Nice location.
: Noisy pub opposite. The evening meal was expensive but poor quality. The vegetables were pre-cooked and re-heated. Not what you expect a main course costing over £20
