: The grounds are beautiful and it is a special wedding venue given the rooms and setting.
: Its a wedding hotel not a spa hotel for a relaxing, quiet get away kind of place. Lots of staff cleaning, carrying and prepping for a wedding all around. Cleaning carts, buckets and hoovers left along the corridors so not the vibe we wanted. Also the spa is tiny and not at all suitable for relaxing in as only 2 chairs and probably 6-8 people in it. It was comfortable and the food was lovely but overall we had hoped for a different atmosphere and facilities.

: We loved the gardens, all those lovely areas, overlooking water and/or fountains as well as woods. We saw wild horses and deer. But I especially loved how helpful and attentive the staff were, many of them young people, going out of their way to make us feel welcome and looked after and getting everything right all the time! extraordinary and delightful!
: there were a couple of disappointing moments with the food - eggs undercooked, a tempura which I had loved very much first time around, but when I ordered it again it was so salty I had to leave it on my plate... restaurant staff were apologetic and promised to report back to the chef...

8.8 Very good
