  : Great location with good breakfast. Parking close by.
  : The accommodation is tired and dated, in need of some TLC. Our room was on the 2nd floor. No lifts, so be prepared for a tight staircase, don't bring heavy or cumbersome bags!Our bathroom blind was filthy with mould. Would be easy and cheap enough to replace! You need to book your breakfast choice and time slot the night before, presumably to stagger breakfasts to make life easier for the staff. Yet every single room turned up at much the same time, so the system doesn't work at all, and you still end up waiting for ages.Everywhere there are laminated notices on hotel policies which are unnecessary and frustrating,

  : Fabulous location, lovely spacious room, spotlessly clean, great food, super friendly, helpful staff.
  : Not the greatest water pressure in the shower but then this is an extremely old property and the showers are electric. A small price to pay against all the positives!

  : Context: Stayed here for 2 nights in late Sep-2023 Positives: Comfortable stay. Lovely environment. Good places to walk: sunset at the harbour is lovely. Good breakfasts. Good dinners. Friendly staff. Room had an opening window.
  : Neutral: Our room faced the river. One of us really liked the (surprisingly noisy) sound of the river, one didn't. Negatives: No lounge area or bar area to sit in. On the times we wanted to be somewhere in the hotel (out of the wind and rain) but not in our room, there was no space and we had to go to one of the local pubs (Riverside staff recommended The Cobweb Inn so we went there).

  : Room could do with a little TLC, slight bed wobble, had to slam door to close it, paint chipped on wall.

  : Beautiful location, I was at the back with the river outside, it was lovely to hear it at night, very soothing. Breakfast room was very nice too, lovely friendly staff, great view of the harbour and the river.
