  : Lovely location.
  : No sandwiches available when we checked in at 3pm,. Grounds were OK but could do with cutting the shrubs back for a better view.

  : We liked how private and secluded the location felt, and the dinner we had was really tasty (we didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that). Our room was really nice - we got upgraded to the bridal suite with a very wide four poster bed, sofa and double ended bath which felt very luxurious. The overall feel of the hotel is stately as it used to be a mansion house.
  : When we arrived we seemed to be the only people there which felt a bit strange, especially being the only people in the restaurant and there was no music playing or anything so it felt almost eerie. We also had issues with the bath in our en suite leaking onto the floor during the day which made the floor really slippy. The water also came out a light brown colour on the last day which we think might have been a piping issue. We alerted the staff and they came and looked straight away and said they would get it sorted. Housekeeping also forgot to replenish our water bottles each day which I don’t mind but my partner prefers bottled water, and we had to call down for more. When we tried to check out the receptionist seemed to have vanished and despite ringing the bell we had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to come and check us out.

  : Location was fantastic. Staff, although sparse, were very helpful. Didn't have breakfast this time, but have in the past and it is excellent, so, too the dinner
  : We booked late and on a budget so small room, which, unfortunately sits above the boiler which starts up at 6am - don't ask for rooms 16 or 17

  : Hotel lovely and nice grounds
  : When we stayed there was also a wedding on, which wasn’t a problem about from when it came it using the bar only one that we were directed to which was for the wedding. Breakfast the next morning was in the restaurant where the wedding took place the tables were still in place and felt a little odd sitting at a table of 10 for 2 people. Breakfast definitely not worth the money we paid for it.

  : Welcome was ok , fascilities reasonable but dated and the room was clean and presentable.The listed building was attractive as were the surrounding gardens but more could be made of both aspects to capitalise on them however.
  : Quite a few detractors including the courtyard for access to the stairwell to the room. It catered to dogs (water bowls) and smokers (sandbuckets) but with a few plants in the pots and a few minutes tidying each day could be colourful and welcoming instaed of feeling like someone to avoid. Similarly upon looking out the stairwell windows well established weeds proliferated on the roof to the courtyard.Parking is in good supply but the paths for pedestrians are sloping and a bit treacherous for the guests.Kept awake by neighbouring guests so wall werent ssound proofed well enough.

  : Room was tired and very stained was in need of decorating. 5 spiders when entered. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Dark room.
