  : Key wasnt in key safe when we arrived. Had to ring owner and wait 50 minutes to get access to property. Not good after long journey. Property was fine but fridge too small for 4 peoples food and lots of traffic noise.

  : The apartment was very comfortable, especially the bed. Everything was of very high quality. It was well located with easy parking. It was exceptionally well equipped with everything you need and more.
  : The apartment sells itself on the cleanliness yet when we arrived it was certainly not clean. I reported this immediately by email with photo attachments but unfortunately Sykes cottages did not contact me until after I had left and the owners never responded to my email at all. I also had trouble with the lock to the outside of the apartment which was reported to the voicemail just after breakfast but I did not get a response until mid afternoon meaning we were locked out for several hours. Better communication would have sorted both these issues out easily.

  : So convenient for lovely Barnard Castle. Generally well equipped. It was good to be provided with milk, teabags etc
  : The cleanliness was acceptable but there were definitely some cobwebs and some areas which had been missed.
