  : Location, garden & food were excellent. Very friendly service and communication from Hugh on last morning.
  : Stairs unsuitable for young or old as difficult to climb especially with luggage.. Room was disappointing as no en-suite and difficult to wash in bathroom with sloping ceiling. Room had bath, sinks and shower attachment in middle of the room which is very unusual.

  : Everything was lovely. Only thing - could have done with a mirror near a plug so could use it for drying my hair. Also a small table by the bath to put shampoo etc on

  : The Woolpack has charm; probably because of its location and its carefully engineered decor. Lined with old boarding with peeling paint, it exudes rustic atmosphere.
  : Walkers beware! Arrive on Sunday evening, and you won't get dinner as the kitchen has been devoted to Sunday lunches for the local Range Rover drivers. There is nowhere else near to find dinner, but we scored a bowl of excellent garlic and rosemary roasted potatoes left over from the lunches. Add some fine beer, and all was well. An early departure meant that breakfast available, but a very good breakfast pack was left outside our room.The room we had was in the attic, up two narrow winding flights of stairs and caused some head bumps on the rafters. To have to reverse into the toilet and to need to open the door to wipe your bum was somewhat curious. There was no TV although a radio was provided. All in all, it was rather expensive for what we received.

  : A very quirky room which was both interesting and comfortable. Didn't expect such a strong "Oar / nautical" theme, but later realised that this was quite close to water historically.
  : The bath in the bedroom still takes some getting used to, and the size and access to the WC wouldn't suit everyone. Even the very steep and narrow staircase up to the room was slightly challenging.

  : For breakfast you get to pick from a small menu. As an starter you can choose to have some Kentish yoghurt, which was delicious (however the first morning it was not available) There are 4-5 options for breakfast, such as a full English breakfast, a sourdough toast with avocado, poached eggs and bacon or smoked salmon and a vegetarian option and buttermilk pancakes. All very goods, howver for the latter it depended on who was in the kitchen making them. One morning they were very fluffy on the inside and crispy on the edges, which was lovely, the next morning, they were flat, very doughy and dense. But overall, the breakfast was really good and you order the drinks you like.
  : The room on the top floor is not ideal for tall people, we could hardly stand up straight. Other than that, it was a charming room, a good bed (a little short though), with a lovely view and all the coffee and tea you want.
