  : lovely location, very peaceful, well situated for great places to visit. bedroom and lounge decent size equipped with what we needed, upstairs shower room ok.
  : the kitchen was fairly small, not well equipped, eg no cereal bowls, only one white wine glass, one red wine glass, no beer glasses, the sieve was very dirty, no decent sized oven and a very small hob which wasnt easy to cook on, no water softener so water wasnt pleasant to drink and left draining dishes streaky with chalk marks. outside patio area and the front door covered in cobwebs and covered in dirt or sand, so the door wasnt welcoming and we didnt use the patio furniture at all. windows all around the property didnt look as though they had been cleaned for a long time. the mirror on the bedside unit was so dusty you could write in it! stingy allocation of essentials eg only two toilets rolls and half a bottle of washing up liquid for a seven night stay. also it wasnt easy to spot the property on arrival, there is a lovely rusty sign saying white cottage but its not prominent and covered by a branch and the sign on the gate doesnt stand out either because its the same colour wood as the gate and the writing is small. this meant we were quite stressed when we arrived and had to call someone acting for the owner to help talk us to the property.
