  : Loved the Italian garden. Loved that our en suite and bedroom were so clean and well maintained.
  : Not so keen on the coffee machine. Noticed some people well worn areas looked a little shabby.

  : The staff was very rude , took two hours to get into our room as they hadn't received the payment even though the payment was shown on my statement that they had received it , and also the bank confirmed on the phone that they had received it so we had to make a payment from a different card , until the money was reimbursed from the hotel. There was no hot water , we told staff which they didn't come up to sort out and at midnight we gave up trying.The food was cold and over cooked and had to send back three times

  : The Milton Hill House is an excellent place to relax, with a property surrounded by large green areas (and a cow farm further down), spacious rooms, large and comfortable beds as well as a swimming pool, steam room and sauna. It’s equally good with kids, as there’s a lot of space.The restaurant offers great options for dinner, which you can enjoy sitting in the middle of trees.Staff is friendly and helpful.

  : Parking, excellent. Pool, lovely. Morning staff welcome to the pool, great. Waffles and pancakes at breakfast really good.
  : Lipstick covered coffee cups x2 for a coffee on the terrace - really not good. Dinner meal so awful, definitely not to be repeated Lack of staff tidying tables.

  : The bed was very comfortable and huge! It was great to have a bath as well as the shower in the ensuite, the breakfast was yummy with lots of choice and very good quality ingredients, the gardens were lovely and it was wonderful to sit out on the terrace after breakfast and sitting in the peaceful Italian garden watching all the dragonflies zooming around, all the staff we met were very friendly, professional and smiley
  : Unfortunately our room was a little tired with some huge stains on the carpet, not what I'd expect from a room that costs over £150 per night, we regularly visit the area to see my sister and usually pay about £90 per night including breakfast, so was surprised to find that breakfast wasn't included when we booked in, so after paying the extra it took the cost to just below £200 for the night, but I specifically chose this hotel for the fact it has a pool and was really looking forward to my swim, we dumped our stuff in the room and headed straight to the pool, it has a fab disabled changing room complete with toilet and shower so I was shocked when getting into the pool area to see that there was no way I could actually get in or out of the pool, the only access to the pool is by 2 vertical ladders, the handles of which were wobbly and the water is 1.2 metres deep with no shallow end which made it was impossible for me to get in or out of the pool so I spent my Saturday evening sat in a plastic chair watching while my partner and grandson enjoyed the pool, to say I'm disappointed is an understatement, I've been in lot's of hotel pools before and there's always been a shallow end with gentle steps leading into the water, I have a spinal injury and walk with a stick so although I can walk unfortunately I can't negotiate the vertical ladder or enter the pool from the side, there was also an older lady in the jacuzzi when we arrived, she hadn't been able to swim either so her daughter and grandson were swimming while she couldn't

  : The surrounding grounds & front building look lovely. The receptionist Izzy was exceptional, real customer service & what you would expect!
  : There was no TLC or ambience to the hotel! We had a room out the back from the main building not actually staying in the main buildingThe terrace could be beautiful overlooking the vast grounds, however, the glasses cups on tables were not collected nor regularly cleaned! One person on bar service very little customers could be clearing the terrace! Cigarettes butts on terrace floor! Shrubs around building could be manicured! A gentleman Cleaner in the foyer could not speak or raise a smile when cleaning a common area.

  : We was booked in for an evening meal but after the disappointment of the lunch (sandwich) that was soon cancelled. Below par food
  : All food is cheap quality. Our supposedly "bloomer" sandwiches were really just medium sliced bread from a supermarket, we had both white and brown and they were both stale and the salmon filling was just slapped in the middle with edges bare. The hotel also has police using one side as a police station .. very strange.Breakfast has plenty of choice but the ingredients are of poor quality. Maybe take away some choice but improve the quality of the basics.
