  : The guesthouse is a family run place with friendly and helpful owners. The location is great, close to the main town centre, bus and train stations and all local attractions. Ephesus archaeological site is 3km walk away. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided was tasty and there was plenty of ay to enjoy in the little courtyard. There was also no issue with leaving my bags for a few hours after check out. Overall a great place to stay!

  : Noise from room above came straight through the ceiling which kept us awake at night. Light from main courtyard shone through our door - had to get up and turn it off at 2am when someone came home.

  : The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioner in the room worked. The inn was kind of charming, appearing more like the family's home with a few guest rooms than a businessplace. I felt that the price reflected something more sophisticated than it was. The host kindly drove me to find public transportation when I left, and went to some trouble to do so, since the train wasn't really working and we had to make a few different tries. So the personal attention was good, with one downside explained below.
  : The wifi in the room did not work, and I had to attend a zoom meeting from the un-airconditioned public space where it was quite warm and humid and a little buggy. The public spaces were a bit cluttered and not very inviting or clean. There was some obvious but not terribly heavy pressure to patronize the various family businesses including the host's visits to America where he looks for people with whom to connect to sell carpets. For me and I think my culture it is less acceptable to have a hotel stay mixed up with restaurant, travel agency, carpet business marketing. I understand that is how things may go in Turkey. It seemed like this host was a bit overstretched. On the other hand, in exerting himself to get me to the bus to Izmir, he seems like a person who loves to do everything, and that's not a bad trait. He could easily have called me a cab and been done with me.
