  : The location and terrace were absolutely brilliant, but that is what you are paying for. Staff were nice and helpful.
  : Very very tiny rooms, with no space. We would like option to opt out from daily cleaning as the cleaning person took my staff chucked iy inside my luggage and put in the closet, which was not very cool. Rooms were super hot even in October and aircon very noisy.

  : The location is excellent and price affordable. The terrace for own suppers and evening time is most probably unique - the rooftop level allows to see the Blue Mosque on one side and the Marmara sea with ships waiting to be let through Bosphorus on the other. Drinks like water or soda at the reception were not overpriced. Air conditioning (noisy) works fine.
  : Smoking is common in the courtyard of the school neighbouring with hotel, in the balconies of hotel nextdoor just couple of metres from the windows, and people even smoke out of the window of the non smoker rooms below us. At 7 AM the school plays loud music, kids scream etc. Their windows are just couple of meters from the hotel windows accross the yard. You see into the classrooms and hear all the school noise and screaming. Rooms we were assured would be next door (we were two parents and two children) were on the same floor but far apart, although communicating through windows over a corner. The two "family" rooms on the same floor were given to someone else. The air conditioner machines, being mounted around the windows, are so noisy that even if you do not want to use your own, the noise from those above or next to your room (and the school noise) forces you to close the windows and use it nevertheless. Breakfast does not meet the average quality according to (central) European expectations, coffee and juice undrinkable, milk must be demanded. The rest is the same all the time and not much choice, no warm items (except once), so if you stay more than two nights, do not hope for much variation. The fridge in the room "minibar" that is advertised does not cool really but heats up. The showers are a little awkward, the upper sprinkler part is built into the wall so you cannot move it down and wash parts of the body properly.

  : As a family with two adult children we stayed six days (start of September 2023) at the SultanHill hotel next to the Blue mosque. I booked it for its traditional ottoman architecture style and very affordable price breakfast buffet included. We were stunned by the view on both Blue mosque and Bosphorus from the huge terrace on the fourth floor. The rooms were very clean and peaceful. Hotel manager speaks English and will give you an Istanbul map with the hidden places of interest. Istanbul is a wonderful city, very lively. Turkish people were helpful, respectful and honest (no problem whatsoever neither in Istanbul, Ankara or Greme in Cappadoce). Christiane & family
