  : The hotel staff were extremely pleasant as was the breakfast. The physical location was near to the city old centre.
  : The hotel, as it is, is fine, although sadly does not in any way match the provided description on Booking.com. The hotel describes itself as being a 'boutique' hotel, although this is certainly far from the truth. in the cold light of day and without any atmospheric lighting as stated in all the photographs on the website, the rooms are bland and dour. The description as provided by either the hotel or Booking.com is totally misleading and incorrect - which was very disappointing. Fortunately, the stay was only for 2 nights, so the need for change was not necessary. The bar was closed and has been since Covid - 4 years ago - upon our arrival, chairs were stacked on top of one another. The outside terrace overlooked a rather shabby flat block and was not worthy of sitting on. The internal 'atrium' was also not open but in darkness - quite possible because of the lack of a bar and associated atmosphere. The room was large and spacious, although again bland and dour. The bed didn't feel the bedframe, so a bruised shin was the norm! All photographs of the outside of the hotel on the website show atmospheric lighting, although none of this was working resulting in, again, a bland and dour exterior - complete with graffiti. The hotel is located extremely close to the tram lines and so from circa 4.00am became very noisy. All in all, and apart from the staff, the hotel was grossly overpriced and in poor condition. The website is totally misleading and does NOT provide an accurate description of the hotel. A stay at the Carlton hotel would have been cheaper and of a far higher quality. Both the management of the hotel and Booking.com have provided misleading information throughout. I would personally rate this as a bland and dour 1 star hotel with little or no facilities. Extremely dissapointed!
