  : Roofhostel is well located in Moscow, meaning that it is a good choice for exploring the city centre and other areas. It is well close to the tube station and the surrounding area has a variety of good restaurants, bars and clubs. Communication with staff was good at the beginning and during my stay there. My bed was comfortable and the three-bed shared room had enough space to accommodate its guests. The hostel was kept well cleaned by a friendly housekeeper. There are kitchen facilities, free coffee and tea. I would consider staying there again.
  : It would have been good to know in advance that the lift was not working. It was not a major issue for me as I was travelling light but climb the stairs until the rooftop could have been challenging. There is a club on the ground floor of the building and my room had a soundproof window but it was not enough to easier the propagation of the sound. In one of my nights there, it was quite difficult to sleep with a higher level of disturbance. It was just like being inside of the club. It is something to have in mind.

  : I liked the location, the showers and it was a clean hostel. There was one staff member who was lovely.
  : The staff didn't really speak conversational English and the staff would follow us whenever we went into our room. There was a no alcohol policy in the hostel that I didn't read about before booking and we weren't told about when checking in. A receptionist saw us drinking and got a Russian guest to translate that we would need to pay a fine. We agreed to just throw the alcohol away to avoid a fine but all the signs warning about no alcohol were in Russian. The next day a sign in English was put up. If I made a tiny noise while the staff were sleeping, they'd turn around and tell me to be quiet. All the guests were Russian and sat around every night on their laptops doing work so it was a strange atmosphere and not a normal hostel atmosphere.
