  : Thia is a proper old style thermas- which I like- the thermal pool is good for this kind of small town thermal bath, lots of jets and a really high suplhur content- but was overun with kids on first day , so noisy, and can get very busy. Turkish and Suana were out of order. Treatments are expensive- massage 40 plus had to pay for use of pool on top-20 but the Vichy massage was very good indeed. The rooms are a bit stuffy and drab. Staff not often to be seen.... worth it if you are a thermas freak, like me-it; worth a day visit, but if you are after top notch spa and hotel, not for you.
  : check in- big queue of group of about 30 folk ahead of me....and only one person on desk. Wi fi was really bad.

  : The rooms were clean. The staff tried.
  : Just outside the doors of the hotel reception are some Roman ruins of the bathhouse found there. The same spring waters are now being used for the current health spa. The hotel is not as old as these springs, it just looks it. The lifts are slow and creaky, the steps to the basement (where the spa is) are crumbling under your feet. There is nowhere to iron any clothes. The staff do not know how to operate their own tills, or their espresso machine.Breakfast is a terrifying thing with croissants that may have once been served to the ancient romans and thinly sliced soft spam. Service from Uber or Bolt is non existent, expect a local taxi to cost about 30% more. On the bright side, the showers are great.This hotel is a cultural phenomenon - the staff were friendly - when you could find them - but they were the icing on a somewhat stale cake.
