  : I have stayed in lots of places all over Portugal and this is hands down the worst place Ive experienced. It was so bad we left after 2 days. The apartment smelled so strongly of sewage it was uninhabitable. There is no WiFi (dont believe them on this). The apartment was old and tired with bits hanging off fittings and furniture. It also hadnt been properly cleaned. The one member of staff available was incomprehensible rude and obstructive. When we explained the smell had made sleep impossible he simply shrugged and said it wasnt his responsibility. He refused to even look into moving us to a different apartment. In the end we were forced to contact booking.com customer service who were great. They tried to help and eventually had to admit to us that the host was too obstructive to deal with. In 10 years, this is the first time Ive had to engage booking.com customer service. Thats how bad this place is. There are loads of lovely places to stay in Luz. This is not one of them. Look elsewhere - find something that will not ruin your holiday.
