  : I had booked what I thought was a place 200m from my parents home near the station in Lagos. When we arrived at the location I was given I was told that it was not where we would be staying and so we followed her in our vehicle to a location over 1km away to a tiny place up a dirt track next to some abandoned apartments. I told the lady I was not happy as we were further away from my parents home and the reason for our trip was my fathers 80th birthday. So now I would have to drive everywhere as hubby is recovering from a broken ankle. The lady told me she other apartments but after driving for 6hrs I wasnt ready for an argument. I figured the reason why we were put in this property was because we have a dog. But when I booked I requested dog friendly so it should not have been a factor really. There was no heating/AC and it was February ! We had to go and buy a small heater but then also discovered there was only 3 electric sockets in the place so glad I packed a multi extension so that we could charge phones, iPad and plug the heater in too. Also getting in and out of the location with a large truck was a bit of a test with manouvering on a narrow track. I must say this is not the first time that we have arrived at a place we had booked on Booking.com only to be told we are actually staying elsewhere. Again I think this is because of the dog but when I search for accommodation I ensure I look for dog friendly/pets allowed. So altogether I was not happy with our weekend stay. I have another booking in April so will now be contacting the location to ensure we are actually staying where I think we are ! Disappointed Angry.
