: The guest house was very lovely with charming furnishings and decor, and plenty of places to sit and relax both inside and out. It is walking distance to the city center, where there are many restaurants and shopping. It's only a few minutes walk to a very fine restaurant. Luis met us as we arrived and showed us around and offered us a little drink of Port, which was welcomed after the drive from Douro Valley. The most wonderful part of staying here was the amazing and beautifully presented breakfast feast that Luis served his guests. Luis was so friendly and welcoming and even though he didn't speak much English, we communicated well with the help of a translation app. The only downside, was the guest house is on a rather busy street, but traffic settled down by the time we went to bed and didn't keep us awake. Another big plus is there is parking on the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay!

: I have little to add to the numerous splendid reviews of this fabulous BnB. The host is unusual, completely engaging, informative to a different level, sensitive, joyful, and gracious. The breakfast was absolutely second to none. She has made a little spot of paradise in an otherwise, just OK neighborhood. It is an oasis of wonder, charm, and fantasy loveliness. It is worth the walk up the hill, because, after all, Coimbra is a walking city. We did not mind the walk up and down the hill and across the river. I would say the only setback is there are few if any great restaurant options nearby. Youve got to get up and out for dinner. We were sort of limited, because most of the restaurants are closed on Sundays. But that is a Coimbra.
: It is very challenging to find the driveway when coming up this narrow steep street. It couldve somehow been better marked. We drove past it twice before we got it right and turning around is no simple matter.
