: The location of the hotel is fantastic and the decor of the hotel is beautiful. The views from the balconies were also beautiful. The breakfast was pleasant (al though some of the fruit was underripe) and the pool/spa facilities were lovely. Wonderful surprise was the kid zone room! Beautiful and better stocked that some daycares!
: The service at this hotel was atrocious. There is Polish service (historically subpar), there is Polish 5 star service, and then there is the service at this theoretically 5 star Polish hotel. It was more similar to a 2 star hotel in terms of staff, other than the once exception of the front desk manager who was helpful in arranging to transport for the next morning (although even the transportation the next day was not without hiccups).Check in was not friendly, rushed, and overall seemed to irritated that a group was arriving to their resort. I was the only fluent Polish speaker so I tried to assist friends we were traveling with, but one evening when a friend went down to ask for more pillows (their king size bed only had 2), the person at the front desk simply stared at them indicating that they didnt understand English. Language barriers occur, but with a 5 star resort the hope is that the use of Google translate/playing charades/anything would be done to attempt to assist in overcoming the language barrier. Needless to say, my friend had to wait for me to come the next day to request more pillows for her room.We had a 1.5 year old baby with us and with the colder rainy weather we didnt want to wander to find a restaurant with live music, so I asked the front desk for a recommendation. The same unfriendly lady (light brown shoulder length hair, braces on her teeth) scoffed and told me that I was here during the off season so there wouldnt be any and that the best thing I should do is to walk up and down the street to find something. Out of a note, we did find 2 restaurants with live music playing (Stek Chalupa and Bialy Mis). This is exactly the kind of information that concierge want to help with, or at least be friendly in saying they cannot.An annoyance is the housekeeping which is only from 10 am - 4:30 PM, complicated by our babys nap schedule, who never visited even though we left each day for breakfast and outings from 10 am - 1:30 PM.
