  : We enjoyed a great relaxing weekend. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Scrambled eggs made with real eggs (not powder) replenished, and bacon by request. Good food in the restaurant for dinner. Value for money meals. Could walk in slippers from room to restaurant. Nice room with tv, sofa. Reliabke wifi and a heated bathroom. Piano and games room downstairs. We enjoyed meeting some visiting dogs also.
  : Ringing bell to get attention of staff felt a bit awkward. Better if staff look out of kitchen for any queries to tend to regularily.

  : Location of this small friendly hotel is excellent for reaching the supermarket, Vinmonopolet and tourist office if you need these. The hotel is an old wooden building with charming rooms. The room is comfy and heaters are good. The restaurant offers basic brasserie menu and food is delicious. Their desserts are especially worth trying. If you have car, reaching Norefjell is about 20 minutes ride.
  : For light sleepers, noise from neighbouring rooms might be a problem. We could hear the people in the room next door, word by word. The staff is friendly, however they have no idea about service. We waited for almost 10 minutes in front of the dessert disc and even though they came out to the cafe area several times, none of them cared for asking us what we needed. We had to call them despite standing right in front of them. We were visiting during Covid-19 period in February, not many guests in the hotel, yet they managed to be slow and not attentive. The thought behind the hotel and its offering is really good but more professional staff is needed to give a better experience.
