: Excellent location for a "home base" to explore Zandvoort, great hosts. While it's true that I needed to go up several stairs to get to my room, I got the hang of it rather quickly and it wasn't a big deal for me as I left in the morning only to return in the evening anyway.
: Not a big deal, but I personally am not accustomed to sporadic loud late-night traffic noises from outside, so to get some sleep I had to close the window to muffle them. Unfortunately the weather during my stay was kinda hot (the whole point of visiting the beach, duh! ), and thus so was my (small) room. Add to that, your skin being hot from the sun all day, and you realize where this is going. While there was a portable column fan in the room, I ended up not using it because it was kinda noisy and had dust accumulated in it, so instead I just tossed aside the blanket and dozed off that way. Note that I considered other available places to stay before Boutique Lodge, and they likely also suffered from these same environmental conditions the same way. Some were more located in the city center, and probably had more "late night people noise" than my occasional traffic noise. In the end, I had a nice stay & the value for money is what drew me in here. How typical Dutch of me.
