  : We spent a nice time. The landlord was very polite and provided useful information for our stay and about what to visit in Rotterdam and the surroundings. They provided a basket with some cookies, crossaints, a bottle of wine, etc. That was really very nice!

  : Accommodation very comfortable and cosy. Only a 10 min walk to train and 2 stops to central Rotterdam. Nice quiet area. Nice to get eggs from the chickens!
  : Some issues with TV reception but resolved easily with advice from owner.

  : - Nice guest house to stay, - Friendly host, - Fully equipped, - Close to metro, - Beautiful neighbourhood
  : - Would be great to have a toaster and microwave (although there is a a stove and instruction for it, simple microwave would be better). - Some photos in Booking property description are irrelevant. With images of people resting near water and kids on water boards - property looks like it is Hotel with different separated houses near lake or river. But in reality it is private yard with 1 guest house. It is wonderful house, with your own space, but guest house placed between yard entrance and owner's house, so it will not be too private outside. - Paid around 15% more, that was shown in Booking. In my Booking app was one price, and in owner's app was price higher. So I would suggest to check this in advance.

  : Lovely little cottage/conversation with a kitchen and room for us to relax when it rained. Use of the garden was a bonus and the fresh eggs were a nice touch. Hosts popped in to see if we needed anything and made us feel welcome.
  : Mosquitos! While they do have a net over the bed beware that Rotterdam is close to the water and no matter what you do you might have trouble with bites.

  : The hosts communicated well. The mattress and shower were good. The hosts were aware of the mosquito problem and left us with a bed net and a good vacuum. The area is cute, safe, and quiet. The decor is good.
  : More mosquitos than Ive ever seen in one place in my life (and Ive lived in India and traveled through tropical countries). My husband was bitten over 30 times despite us killing close to 100 mosquitoes with the vacuum and sleeping under the bed net and being careful to not open the door for more than 1 second to go in/out and keeping all windows shut. No matter how many we killed there were always more bc they somehow come in from outside, and just outside the lodge, its a swampy canal. We wasted 30 minutes a day everyday killing mosquitoes and were not able to relax in the space. Sleeping under the bed net was hard because of the placement of the bed- getting in and out of bed was an aerobic activity. Of you got up to pew at night, you were bitten by mosquitoes. The hosts were away the whole time. We chose this place thinking there was a coffee machine but it is a nespresso that uses pods and there were only enough pods for 2 days (we stayed 5 nights) and going out for coffee was a hit annoying because the location is remote and it takes 20 minutes by bike to get into the part of Rotterdam with (open) cafes. The hosts had pods in their home but since they were away, they told us to buy them but we only needed a few. There are chickens but you dont get fresh eggs from them- they are not for guests (we think). The lodge is a bit far from anything so be aware. If Id have known how long it takes to get into town, even with a bike, Id not have chosen this place. The bedding is too hot- blanket warm enough for a cold winter and no sheets or lighter blanket. Cant open windows bc mosquitos. This is basically a garage that was remodeled.

  : We love the location! It is very close to the city. The place is close to many beautiful canals with many kinds of birds. My family loves it! The garden is spacious and our son got to play around everyday. We also love the gift basket, baby high chair and bed.
  : The mosquitoes! We understand that it's not the host's problem and that they provided many solutions for us. But we underestimated them for the first night so we slept quite badly. Then we used all the things that the host provided for the second night and it was no problem at all!

  : Cozy little place. It has a nice garden and quiet location. The owners were really nice and they let us use their bicycles for free (a deposit only).
  : The gas heater takes a bit of time to heat up the room. But once it does, it works well. We stayed here in February.
