  : So far, the only positive what I can tell about the hotel is the location. I booked the hotel to be closer to the centre and as the hotel had very good scores on booking.com. Booked a room with a garden view based on the nice photos.Arrival...I requested to C/I between 14:00 - 15:00. According to this we arrived around 14:30. Certainly, the room was not ready and had to wait 30 minutes. I understand this as we only requested it what the hotel should not need to fulfil if they do not have capacity. Although, during my 30 minutes waiting time, 2 other guests could check in...Nevertheless, I was hoping that the room what we are waiting for will worth the time.Room was inside a "garden"...I would not call it garden....an area which has 6 chairs and 3 tables...The room has a very small, tiny window, where you have no view, nothing...I said okay, 1 night...we can survive it, as we will spend most of our time in the city. After a while, there was terrible smell in the room. It was like a sewer smell with mould. I'm 100% sure that there was a leakage in the room before what they still could not fix. And it also explains the fact that when we entered the room first time there was an extreme strong fragrance smell, probably to have a better first impression. Because of the smell, we had to always open the door when we were in. Also, we had to use the heater function of the fancoil as there was a bit cold in the room. As soon as we wanted to heated up, you could see the water dripping from the ceiling a bit as probably there is no proper insulation there...All in all, the only reason, I was not complaining during the stay, because we spent only 1 short night there. In case of a longer stay, I would have addressed my points during, not just only at C/O what I did. I'm not a story teller during hotel stays, but this one, ruined my overall experience about Amsterdam. I was promised on Monday to get a partial refund, or any respond from Management.

  : The room was pretty small but nice and quiet. It was on the fourth floor and the stairs very steep but there was a (slow) elevator. The bed was very comfortable. There was a coffee machine and free coffee pods in the room.
  : The room was very expensive and did not include breakfast. Adding breakfast costs an additional 22.50 euro. I tried it one day, it was nice but simply not worth it. There is a Lidl nearby and you can buy all you need there for a few euros, and there is a coffee maker (and free coffee pods) in the room.The check-out was a strange experience. The concierge was talking sightseeing with two other people staying at the hotel for a very long time, completely ignoring me. They talked about differents sights, about taxis, about appropriate footwear while visiting Amsterdam etcetera. After a long, long while I interrupted and said "Excuse me, when you done talking, can you let me know, I'll be sitting in the lobby". They continued talking for quite a while longer until finally the concierge said that she had to attend to my check-out.For me, the number 1 task of a concierge must be to facilitate a smooth and fast check-in or check-out. If there are no people waiting do to that, the concierge can give (exhaustive) advise about sightseeing.So, in short, if you want an expensive room, expensive breakfast, and be ignored by the concierge, this is your place.
