  : The location was ok.
  : The staff were so rude. No welcoming smiles. The cleaner came in and had a go at us for the people who left that day leaving rubbish when we werent even with them. The bathroom is tiny, cannot move in there. The room is tiny for 15 people doesnt feel human. The beds are so uncomfortable. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

  : I like the location it is very close to the tram station and close to the museums Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum. The bed is comfortable and has a sink inside the room.
  : There is no shelving space to put your things and no hooks to put your coat in the room. There is 5% surcharge if you pay with card so best to pay with cash.

  : The hostel staff were unhelpful, the atmosphere was awful (zero socialising), the bunks didnt have small private lights which meant the whole room was pitch black OR bright lights which is impossible to navigate in a room full of 21 people, there is one toilet and shower per floor for 21 people and the toilet got blocked twice in the 4 days we were there, facilities were poor and there was nowhere to buy a drink or chill when you got back from a day out (there is a bench and a table in the reception but its crowded and you cant drink there). 0/10, next time will stay somewhere in else.

  : The price was really cheap, but I ended up having to pay for another hotel, so in the end, it felt like a rip-off. Good location.
  : The service was unacceptable. I don't know if they discriminated against me because of my accent or if the service is always this bad. The guy at the reception told me that my stay wasn't showing up even though I had already paid. I told him I was very tired and needed to drink some water, and asked if I could access the kitchen, but he denied me. I decided to wait in the living room, but my power bank was running out of battery. I asked if he knew of a place to plug it in, and he said no.Then I tried to buy a bottle of water at the reception, but he was very upset and made disapproving faces, as if something I had said had offended him. He told me he couldn't sell me water because his terminal wasn't working. I told him I needed to leave my suitcase and backpack in my room so I could go to the ATM, but he said no, even though he had my confirmation email and reservation number. It was totally arbitrary.After all the bad looks he gave me, and tired of being nice all the time, I complained about the situation. He told me there was nothing he could do, continued to deny me entry, and didn't help me with the electricity connection or the water I tried to buy. In the end, I had to leave the premises, but not before pointing out all his intransigence. I had to go to the hotel across the street where I paid 80 euros for one night, in addition to already having paid for the hostel and having a reservation number. It was the worst booking experience I've ever had. I even tried to record a video of how he was responding to me, but he attempted to take my phone away.I hope this was an isolated incident and doesn't affect other users. It's unfortunate that, despite not having a good English accent, I was treated this way.I hope the hostel management takes action and improves staff training to prevent other guests from having a similar experience.
