  : The location is great, in central Venice near the Rialto bridge and directly overlooking the Grand Canal. The hotel is a beautiful old grand building and the rooms are large and quiet.
  : It is a four star hotel but it doesnt have four star facilities. There is no restaurant or room service and there is a bar but it wasnt open once when we stayed in October. The staff are very pleasant but the service is not what I would expect in a four star hotel. For example, refusing to open the roof terrace so we could have a look at the view. Maybe there was a good reason for this but they didnt tell us. Telling us the bar was closed at 7pm. Not telling us about the 45 euro city tax until we checked out and then only accepting payment in cash.

  : The only thing I can say that's remotely positive about this place is its location as the hotel is in fact situated quite near the city center. However, this does not compensate for the tragedies that await inside by any means...
  : On arrival I was faced with a room that stank of mould and humidity the thick smell was quite literally unbearable and most likely a serious health hazard! Inside the room, the stench was matched with the visual of would patches along the walls and ceiling. Thinking I had the worst behind me, I entered the bathroom just to find more mould along the side of the bath, accompanied by a broken shower head and cracked plastic ... and that's not all ... I later found that three of the four lights in my room were either not working or flickering. Upon addressing these issues with the reception just 5 minutes post arrival I was told they could not do anything about it that day as they were fully booked despite acknowledging the terrible state of the room. It was shocking, but they promised to move me into a good "better room" first thing in the morning they didn't. Instead, they said it's my fault as I didn't ask a third time. Absolutely outrageous.

  : The location is fantastic - on the grand canal with a small number of tables on the waterfront. Staff were excellent. Nice quiet room. The AC was very good and a huge relief as we visited during a heatwave and desperately needed it. Very close to several vaporetto stop and the gondola station is literally next door, where you can cross the grand canal or take a tour.
  : The main reason I booked was for the roof terrace which was closed, so I was very disappointed about that. Particularly that I wasnt notified on booking or in advance of arrival. I recommend checking when booking as thats a big attraction.

  : Breakfast was really great, had an elevator when made bringing items upstairs nice Room was very nice and location was central to everything.
  : We were over charged for a drinks. We were charged for 2 and my husband had one. We ended up paying because the discussion was so bad with the manager. Who incidentally was the one who got it for him the night before. We assume he put one of the other groups on our bill. But the whole situation with the manager was bad.

  : Very comfortable hotel, beautifully located on the Grand Canal. We loved the buzz of the activities on the water and in the campo.
  : It would have been fun to have our breakfast outdoors on the canal without paying a fee!
