  : Over all the apartment was fine, clean and located in the absolute center of Trieste.
  : Despite of this we won't come back, and cant recommend this place to anyone. We arrived late on a friday, which we let them know and they said it was no problem. The locks are very tight (as stated in other reviews) and the handle of our key broke when we tried to open the door. It was possible to withdraw the key, but not to open the door. Only one key was given to us, even though we were three people staying there. This left us stuck outside the apartment at night. The "emergency" number listed is only open 8 AM - 7 PM. The restaurant next door managed to get a hold of the owner, who said they would send someone ASAP. So we stayed there instead of going to a hostel in hopes of the situation being resolved quickly. We ended up "sleeping" in the staircase and 8 AM next morning no one had showed up or even contacted us. We called the emergency number at 8AM and was met with the rudest and scariest man, that yelled and laughed at us. Even though we tried to explain our predicament calmly. He insisted that we had broken the key, and said that it was our problem. The handle of the key did have cracks in it when we got it, but that is besides the point, because we just needed help getting in. We were tired and desperate at that point. He hung up the phone, and we didnt know what to do. Fortunately the company that handles communication for the place contacted us after seing our numerous desperate emails and whatsapp messages during the night. It was the nicest girl that phoned us and she resolved the issue. We ended up with a refund for part of that night, but we should not have had to pay for the first night at all. Furthermore no amount is worth the experience we had with the owner, who instead of helping us, laughed at, yelled at and hung up on us. We had no issues with the new key we got. The locks are very tight though

  : The large number of stairs up to the top I had to ask for help with carrying my luggage case. Im 70 with health problems including a broken shoulder healing.

  : 2 coffee pads, 2 thea bags, 2 biscuits for 3 days with 2 people is not really abundant

  : Cute attic studio apartment , with restaurants and antique shops on your doorstep, in the heart of old Trieste. A few minutes walk though alleyways brings you to the bustling main squares and harbour ( go down at sunset !! )

  : The location was superb. Right in the heart of the city and a very short walk to lots of cafes and shops and the sea front. It is a bit tucked away in a small pedestrianised back ally, but it is well lit at night and well used so not at all intimidating. The address was a little awkward to find due to the layout of the old streets but we found it! There is no parking at the property but we didn't need it anyway.
  : The kitchen could have done with a bit more crockery and cutlery, it had just enough. A little more and a few more coffee capsules would have been appreciated. Everything else was pretty much as we would wish for. Clean and tidy and a quiet night's sleep! Be aware that although the building has lifts to all floors to get to the lift you have to negotiate a short flight of stairs... It is a very old building full of charm though.

  : MOSQUITO ALERT!! We were eaten by mosquitoes all night, resulting in distress and zero sleep. Very poor, dismissive reaction to complaint by host who blamed construction site nearby, but did not acknowledge problem beyond "inconvenience" and took no mitigations. Windows were wide open on arrival even though they knew about the problem. Our holiday was punctuated by visits to pharmacy as a result of a one night stay. It's well appointed but sadly bad for your health. Avoid!
