  : I have scored the hotel on the basis of it being a 1*. The hotel is basic but functional. The bathroom was very good. The location is handy for the old town.
  : Beds were narrow and very soft. Reception / other facilities were minimal but maybe what you would expect for a 1*. There are lots of steps (57) to reach the property from the main road so no good for anyone with mobility issues.

  : Lovely room. Lift to upper floors.
  : Beware! The hotel has no overnight front desk. On our second evening we went out to dinner and returned about 22.00 to find that our room key did not work. We rang the emergency "overnight number" and the phone continually rang out then became unobtainable. Our WhatsApp messages similarly went unanswered. We had to check into a nearby hotel without our belongings as we had an early departure the next morning and didn't fancy sleeping on the streets!!! Troublesome or wrongly programmed room keys happen and the situation is usually quickly resolved. But not answering the overnight emergency number when you have an unmanned reception is unforgivable. The next morning we managed to retrieve our belongings at 08.00am and were offered a full refund for our two night stay before we rushed off. But this was a stressful situation. Thankfully we had our passports and money with us otherwise we would have had to sleep on a park bench!!! A shame as the room was lovely and our stay had been delightful until we were unable to return to our room.
