  : Good location. Walkable to several spots - train station, bus station, cruise terminal and close to canal and eateries. Room was very large. Bathroom was modern. Wifi was fast.
  : UPDATE: After my review was posted, I get a lengthly response from the property accusing me of being a liar and not telling the truth. They claim I did not tell them my arrival time. I've included screenshot of my conversation with the property, with arrival time and flight number. They were NOT THERE at that time. Also, told them I'm traveling abroad and don't have SIM card and may have issues finding wifi. Well, you can see from response, "not my problem your phone may not work". What is the point of arranging a time then? I checked my phone at Rome airport before arriving at Trieste, they didn't say, "we will not be there, you need to call again". I don't appreciate them speaking down to me like I'm stupid. I travel ALOT and stay in these places before in Madrid, Barcelona, Rome, EVERYWHERE, never encountered this before. Host should be THERE to let you in. Run your property like a business, because people are actually paying you real money. I'm not asking for the world, just be there to open the door. ** Host was not there at agreed time, even though I confirmed 3x and even gave him my flight number. Host contacted me 2 days before arrival that he will give me instructions via WhatsApp which is ridiculous to "arrange" for check in. This is surprising to me, since my arrival time is weekday at 4 to 5pm. I expected this is not to be a problem. Was told that this is an "apartment" not hotel. I've stayed in this types of places before and host is there during normal check in hours. When I got there, and nobody was there to let me in, and I couldn't find wifi or have a SIM card, so I had to ask a nice person in the bar downstairs to call the host and waited 10 minutes until he let me in. This was not what I expected after traveling over 16 hours. If I had known this in advance I would NOT have booked this stay. There are plenty of places in Trieste.

  : Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Really nice host. Beautiful bathroom.
  : The only thing that bothered me was that it was hot--the air conditioner worked well, but I don't like AC. Outside was cool, but when I opened the window, there was an unpleasant smell; like from a restaurant kitchen. Not the host's fault, but I didn't sleep well with the AC.
