  : The check-in was less than desirable. We couldn't understand why he was asking for more money after we paid in full 6 months ago. I was not part of the whole mess. When the dust settled and after the host called booking and the host finally allowing us to use his wifi. We were able to figure out that the city taxes went up. All he cared about was getting his money. He wouldn't let us access his wifi so we can get online to access information. So we could understand what was going on. We had stayed at other places in Venice and had NO ISSUES. They did not ask for more money for "taxes." We booked and paid for all our travel 6 months ago. Why all of a sudden was this host asking for more money? Once he got his money, he turned on a light in the hallway that led to the bedrooms. I couldn't tell the light was turned on, I think going down the hall with candlelight would have been brighter. Even the bedroom lights were dark. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the ac, I sent the host through booking messages app asking him how to turn on the ac he never responded. It was a split unit and I looked for a remote to turn it on, but I couldn't find it. My partner found what we believe to be a thermostat, but the host covered it up with a piece of paper. I guess he didn't want anyone messing with it. We couldn't figure out how it worked, so we taped the paper back on it. The windows had roll up shutters and we didn't know how to open that up either. So getting air in the room was a lost cause. He had no fans. He even unplugged the lamps on both sides of the bed. The bed was maybe a little softer then sleeping on the floor. It was rock hard. So we basically sweated all night and we were both miserable. Someone came in about 2am making noises and he snored really loud the rest of the night. With it being at the end of the runway. You heard planes taking off all night long.

  : Everything is really clean and comfy. It's better to call Enrico before and make sure about your time of arrival. Also check buses / car journey before as it is close to airport but transportation is still necessary. Enrico was very helpful, offered a ride to the airport on last day as I had a early flight and it was for very fair price :) It was overall a pleasant stay !
  : Everything was good but it's important that you can call the owner locally before coming to the hotel.

  : The host provided us with detailed information on how to get to Venice. For instance, there are a few different paths (by bus and even by boat). We tried each of them. Actually, from Marco Polo airport, you can arrive at the Center of Venice in 1 hour by boat, costing $15 (and see the main islands on your way). From the main Venice bus station, you can get directly to the hotel. The room was clean and comfy, and there is hot water in the shower. Perhaps the house hasn't been renovated for a long time, which could be a downside for some people, but we were okay with that.
  : There is no breakfast provided in the hotel, despite it being called a "Bed and Breakfast." You don't even get a teapot to make a cup of tea or coffee in the morning. Additionally, there aren't any cafes nearby. Of course, the host warns about this in their advertisement, so make sure to read the instructions carefully.
