  : The owners were very nice. They provided the shuttle from the airport right away. We ate at the restaurant that night. Food was good and reasonable. Breakfast was about average. The rooms are decent size but not modern. Bathrooms are recently renovated and clean.

  : Decent hotel and an excellent way to cut cost in Milan if you have a car. We were fortunate to have booked near Malpensa as our flight got desperately delayed. Italian car rental companies don't give an F* for your flight number so they just shut their office even though we missed our timing by only 20 mins (1 star to Avis Malpensa). Therefore, our only option upon arrival was a taxi so thank god we only had c.10 mins to travel! Thankfully, the hotel was a much different experience. The room we were offered was cosy and clean and they even offered us a shuttle service outside normal hours the next day so we can go back and yell at Avis until they gave us a car. We also paid the measly 6 for breakfast. I didn't expect much considering the price, but if you have a bit of a sweet tooth, like I do, prepare to be pleasantly surprised by at least half a dozen home baked pie options!
  : The only slightly unpleasant experience was a moderately strong smell of cigarettes in our room upon arrival, but the aircon took care of that relatively quickly.
