Albergo Centrale

Very Good

  : very good location
: In the description of the hotel there is false information that you can reach it by car to leave your luggage. Actually it's necessary to carry out luggage 600 meters or take a taxi. I understand that there is no other way, but the description is misleading.

: This is a good value albergo that is well located! It does have four flights of stairs. However, the reception was lovely and helpful, and we accepted an upgrade to include a small outdoor terrace. Great communication made for an easy check-in and check-out.

Traveller Type: Family with Young Children
: Location: very centralFacilities: All facilities provided in the apartment incl wifi.
: The original room we had booked, we came to know that it was on 4th floor without a lift. My wife being asthmatic, we requested a change, they accommodated us in another place with a lift. We were looked after

: It seems that the owners operate some suites in addition to their rooms. We were upgraded to a suite so plenty of space and well equipped. Easy walk to all sights in Siena. Staff were very responsive and helpful with advice and enquiries and ordering taxis on our departure (a nightmare in Siena).

: I think the "Albergo" was renovated not so long ago. It is well located. Everything is fresh and clean. I had a nice view from my window and plenty of space in my sleeping- and bathroom. Staff was really friendly. You have free water, coffee and tea. I would stay here again.
: Nothing really serious and nothing that would make me stay away from the Albergo, and I know they offer this for free, but they could decalify the waterboiler in the hall. Just an advices, nothing negative, but some might need to know, that there is no elevator up to the 4th floor and the Albergo doesn't serve breakfast. But there are plenty cafs around, so no worries.

: Location is only two blocks from Piazza del Campo which is the ultimate spot representing Sienna's social life and restaurants. Nice balcony and soundproof doors to the outside.
: NO elevator! Please note. The stairways are narrow. Okay for a small lightweight carry-on. If you have a 23kg luggage and are older this is a big problem. If you're young and strong then okay. As senior citizens we overlooked this downside and paid for it in exercersion and concern over heart strength! Not soundproof from the hall or next door guests.

Very Poor

: Last minute booking. Could not find hotel. Desk closes at 7 pm. No one answered the phone. Village police do not allow vehicles in the town without s hotel permit. Hotel says if you have a car, park it and walk 15 min w luggage to hotel. After not finding the hotel and desk closed 1.5 hrs after booking we gave up and found another hotel. NO REFUND. Staff said too bad non refundable.
